The Makita system of professional outdoor power equipment is on full display in Louisville at Equip Expo, including eight never-seen new products making their debut at the green industry’s largest annual trade show.

A Focus on Conversion, and a New Mobile App to Reveal Cost Savings
In addition to eight new products made their debut today at Equip Expo, the Makita booth has a sharp focus on trailer conversion – literally: A landscaper trailer was positioned in the center of the booth, fully loaded with Makita battery-powered products, and Makita experts are demonstrating a new mobile app that clearly shows the cost savings of going battery powered based on each contractor’s unique business metrics.

The booth also featured three compelling product demonstrations including concrete cutting with the 80V (40V X2) XGT® 14” Power Cutter, which gives users performance comparable to a 75.6cc gas power cutter. Attendees also saw Makita battery-powered chain saws in action, as well as the new water pump attachment for the expansive couple shaft system.

Makita battery-powered options include three systems of professional power equipment:

AGZA Certified for Top Performance and Zero Emissions

Makita XGT® and ConnectX™ Outdoor Power Equipment has earned field-tested certification from the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA). AGZA is a global leader in zero-emission sustainable grounds maintenance strategies, and they test for the highest quality and best performing zero-emission lawncare equipment. This certification is an important indicator for pro’s seeking battery-powered equipment to replace gas-powered OPE.
